Hello, Gospel Music Fans! My name is Del Hughes, host of "Down The Gospel Road" each Sunday morning from 6am - 12 noon on KWCK 99-9. It's always good to have YOU along as a listener of great Southern Gospel, Christian Country and Gospel Bluegrass music. For over 28 years, I have been playing and promoting Gospel Music, most of that time right here on KWCK 99-9, making "Down The Gospel Road" the LONGEST continuous gospel music program in the Heart of Arkansas!
At an early age, I began to enjoy listening to gospel music. My interest in gospel music continued to grow on into my teen and adult years. I would often think of the day that I might have the opportunity to have my own gospel music show. That opportunity came along in 1982. Danny Boyles, a longtime friend and Program Director at the time, called one day and picked my mind about starting a gospel music program. So, it all began way back when, and continues to this day.
I still look forward to rising early every Sunday morning, going on the air and visiting with listeners both on the phone and by way of the internet.
